Queens Meadow Welcomes Omega Plastics

21 May 2012

Omega PlasticsA major UK based plastic injection moulding company have become the latest business to take occupation of the Rivergreen Business Centre at Queens Meadow in Hartlepool, joining existing occupiers including Hart Biological and Babcock Networks.

Omega Plastics, who specialise in rapid tooling complimenting, product development and plastic injection moulding, are also based in Blyth in Northumberland.  The company has recently signed a lease and will take occupation of a 9,810 sq ft unit at the development at the end of April.  The Rivergreen Business Centre lies within the recently confirmed Queens Meadow Enterprise Zone and Omega Plastics will benefit from business rates relief of up to £55,000 for 5 years.  Dave Crone is the Managing Director of Omega Plastics and confirmed that “once we established thatTeesValleywas the right place to grow our business it quickly became apparent that the Rivergreen development best suited our needs operationally and we were very pleased to be able to agree a deal.  The business rate relief offered by the Enterprise Zone was also clearly a significant draw as this cost saving has helped us with the significant up front investment in high-tech plant and machinery required to get us up and running”.

Peter Candler, Managing Director of Rivergreen Developments commented: “we’re delighted that Omega Plastics have chosen the Rivergreen Business Centre as the right location to help their business grow.  This is a reflection of the high quality of the development, which we feel in a difficult market gives this scheme an edge.  With the Enterprise Zone now confirmed in addition we believe that we have a lot to offer strong companies, such as Omega Plastics who are exactly the quality of occupier we hope to attract”.
